Chicago, Illinois has some interesting architecture. One of my favorite is the two towers of the Corn Cob Condominium Complex. The balconies have the shape of, you guessed it, corn kernels. It is actually known as Marina City. Architect Bertrand Goldberg designed the complex in 1959, and it was completed in 1964. At the time it was completed the towers were the tallest residential condominiums in the world. Another unique design feature of the towers is the outward-facing parking spaces. You can see all the cars in this picture. It’s a period piece for sure.
