My clients knew they would have to remodel the Camellia Terrace 1950/60’s Ranch-style house when they bought it.  The location is what they liked.  It was ideal, with a good neighborhood, good schools and an excellent surrounding community.

There were challenges, though.  The 3 bedroom, 2 bath home was really too small for the family’s needs.   To start with, the master bathroom could hardly fit one person!  Their two children could each have a bedroom, but they were not equal in size.  One bedroom was way too small in comparison to the other one.

Another major issue was one of the adults worked at home on a regular basis and there was no other private space in the house.  In addition, my clients also wanted another space that could be used for a guest, media, and study space, or all three combined. So this called for creativity and versatility in designing their home.
