Sue Harrison

, CKD, CBD #1010730, Certified Green Building Professional, Green Point Rater

Sue’s design specialties encompass kitchen, bath and whole house design with emphasis on green building, especially in the areas of alternative insulation, HVAC and plumbing choices for energy and water savings. Sue says this about her personal design philosophy and approach:

“Remodeling and building projects are daunting tasks involving multiple decisions at every phase of the process. I have successfully navigated projects for myself and my family several times and have also helped nearly a thousand other individuals through the process. I am very familiar with the flow of construction and the inter-relationships of the trades and the possible design choices at every turn.

It is my great pleasure to help others travel through these waters smoothly;, through all the details, to achieve a project that makes their lives easier and more joyful, while making the room or building itself something that is as pleasing to the senses and spirit as possible for the homeowner, general contractor, trades people and sub-contractors. My ideal project has as the end result the homeowner and family obtaining exactly what they want for their home while reducing their carbon footprint and utility bills and everyone good friends throughout the process!”

In the process of designing, the budget is a very important factor and I discuss and interact with the client, about the budget, through the whole process so that the project gets implemented without compromising the initial intent and goals. My unique strengths are to make the space alive by use of colors, textures and light. I am very conscious of long term impact on environment and the human being, so I keep myself abreast with the various technologies and new materials, I have very keen understanding of running a business especially restaurants so I do offer services of getting the permit from the Health department, kitchen design, equipment ordering, lighting design and creating brand and promoting it.”
